Music and Choir

Our school music and choir program introduces students to the fundamentals of singing, the basics of reading music (music theory) and music appreciation. All students participate in a choir according to their grade level during the school day. These choirs perform at special events and sing for worship services at First Lutheran Church.  Rhythm instruments, colored chimes, tone chimes, and Orff instruments are used by students as they learn to read music. Students learn about instruments of the orchestra and hear demonstrations of various instruments and also listen to classical orchestral works.
